Hi

Iam currently using windows defender as my Av at the moment, Would you recommend using another to run alongside it or one as a standalone?

Nothing wrong with Windows Defender and there's little to no reason to run a 2nd AV along side it.

As long as you're not visiting dodgy websites/clicking links or installing dodgy crap on your pc then you've got nowt to worry about. WD is fine.

I keep getting links to download Adobe when I click on facebook I only use pc for business and gaming honestly!!

I keep removing it all but it seems to come back after a month and windows never picks it up.

Running hitman pro works, also removing the dodgey extensions in chrome

Chrome + AdBlock works miracles for me and just never download anything you don't need. I don't have any anti virus since most of them are a virus.

I use ESET NOD32, and have it perpetually free. Here's how:

1. Download ESET NOD32 (http://www.eset.co.uk/Dow ... tware/Product/EAVH).
2. Before install, go to http://hhuu.net/ and copy the listed trial keys to notepad.
3. Install NOD32.
4. When it asks you to activate, choose "Username & Password"
5. Use one of the username/passwords from notepad to register.
6. WIN!

Every 30 days you'll need to refresh the username & password. Simply disable NOD32 (right-click the icon in the notification area and choose "temporarily disable protection". Copy the current list of trial keys, close the page and enable protection. then and re-activate using one of the new keys.

Apparently the hhuu site is backed by a charity, so if you're concerned about the morality, it is seemingly legit.
