Looks like they've still got a ways to go before we see a fix, which will probably push the FPS module back a bit. Still, getting a rock solid solution in place can only benefit the PU when that releases.

Here's hoping it gets resolved soon so we can get some Corp flight time in.

Yeah it seems the entire back end rewrite is needed before we get stable multiplayer! However they are clearly working hard at it and smashing the bugs at a decent rate.

It makes me wonder what was in 1.0 that broke it so severely- perhaps the (partial) transition to 64bit?

Unrelated, but does anyone from here go on the official forums anymore? Seems it's become a bit of a cesspit since I last looked, which is a bit sad.

I think why it screwed up so much is, that with 1.1 and REC SO many people came to actually play AC more regular AND online (like before most from their own statistic played Single player Vanduul swarm 80%) since you only get REC in coop vanduul. That gave them much more load and of cause they did not redo (what they are currently doing but will take a while) the whole match making backend but used an existing one and tweaked it to support AC and some new CSI backend like the REC, website, Store etc.

these major bugs in the current backend seem to all have to do with not handling server capacity and sessions well and especially "cleanup" bugs that did not released not longer needed resources do to crashes of clients or other bugs ... Furthermore they have no automatic on demand resource handling, in short they have to spin up additional servers manually and configure them accordingly. Alone that gives you so much error potential.

Anyway I would think till they actually have their own Backend running (which needs to be the ground base for all that future PU matching in an instance egg.) we will have to live with it.

Well personally I do not understand why they did not just leave it with the "fixed" 1.1 (not pushing 1.1.1, fps etc.) and crunching the developers onto the new back end ... now they lose resources just to fix problems for a platform they will not use any more. I rather would help stress test the final matchmaking.

Anyway enough text wall and yes I think the official forum sucks too, with the search button you do not find anything that you are looking for (or I'm to stupid) and lots of useless discussions ... still I try to trough once in a while a suggestion or Bug report on there, since that it is what is needed to improve the game.
