Just kind of got back into it myself as I am able to sink an hour or two on my laptop between study and college work. Was just wondering if anyone was still playing or if there was any interest in it at all?

I tried to get back into if, but the butchered Free To Play model just killed it for me and I wouldn't pay to sub to it.

Shame as it could have been a fantastic MMO, but Bioware tried to make their signature RPG style game into an MMO and it didn't work.

Fun Fact: It's the only game that's ever had me rage hard in PvP.... and I mean full blown nerd-rage

Now that I would love to have seen in one of your vids, mate

I agree though, and I invested heavily into the game pre and post release. Bought both the digital deluxe and the collectors editions, as I was so sure BioWare + MMO + Star Wars = WIN!

Shame it turned out to be average at best, and when EA (founder members of the COBRA commercialisation brigade) fucked with the game to bring in the bloody Cartel store and the enforced restrictions associated with the Free To Play model, I quit.

If BioWare had left it as it was at release, with no store and no F2P options, I likely would have continued playing it.

True the F2P model is definitely a turn off and it is hard to work around especially if you aren't at least preferred( i am playing with my little brother and he cant even send mail which is a bit much) but the core gamplay is nice if not wowish. I do have to agree it would have been better as a kotor 3 rather than an mmo and apparently you hit an even bigger pay gate at 50 with the expansions. I haven't seen the cartel market be two game wrecking but maybe i am not far enough. but stuff like strongholds and starfighter are a nice break from typical wow stuff and can be played even on F2P.

I really loved this game when It first came out, the lvling game was really awesome, what server/faction are you on? the new expansion is tempting me to try it out again... maybe.

I don't really have time but maybe... just a little
